Transformers series...

I'm trying to get all the Transformer cartoons, the original storyline ones, and I want to make sure I am getting the right sets. So here is what I'm getting:

Transformers G1 (Seasons 1-4)
Beast Wars (Seasons 1-3)
Beast Machines (Seasons 1-2)

I see that there are other Transformer series like Transformers G2, Beast Wars II and some other japanese ones but do the ones I listed complete the storyline ? There has to be some Transformer fanatics here so please answer

weird thing is that it hasn't been released in japan yet or the uk
the south koreans seem to like it, almost 30mil there alone.

This is the most messed up bit of Transformers I've ever seen. I thought it was a parody at first but this was apparently a real bit in Japan.

Loved Beast Wars...

Beast Wars II was a japanese version that came in between Beast Wars and Beast Machines...

and man did the japanese ruin the cartoon...especially with the party and karaoke.

Yeah, but BW and BM are pretty good, especially the ending in BM.

In my book, G1 is the only one that mattered...especially the movie.

Headmasters, Masterforce, and Victory are a lot better than the stuff they are making now. Just don't watch the horrible dubbed episodes. The voice work is laughable at best. I mean Grimlock gets called Billy in one episode.

Car Robots/Robots in Disguise (US) was decent, but after that its been all downhill.

The quality of the show and animation went down a lot after the movie. There are still a few good episodes in the odd 3rd season.

I think Headmasters in Japan handled the Headmaster Transformers a lot better than the 3 part 4th season called Rebirth in the US.
