I have been very cautiously optimistic about this title, huge fan of G1 back in the 80s- looking like they finally made an at least reasonably decent Transformer game, looks like a trip down to GS for me :)

While I had fun with the demo, I'll probably wait until this one hits a $39.99 sale.

Did you get it? Thoughts?

For $40 on Steam this is tempting.

Haven't gotten a lot of time with it so far. Gameplay is more old school 3rd person then anything else, ammo is very limited so you end up using melee attacks a lot(which seem way more powerful, at least as Optimus, anyway). Took a long ass time to install, cut down the amount of time I've had so far, hopefully get a few more hours in later today. Not looking bad so far, but nothing I'd expect non Transformers fans to be terribly interested in at $60 from what I've seen so far.

No time to try out co-op yet? I'm may end up giving this a rental if the co-op is fun.

I'm really tempted to buy it with the $50 GC I got from buying the 360 Arcade for $130 last week. Going to try and wait til it's one sale tho since I have such a pileup of games right now.

I have it on the 360. I love it. Ammo is very limited but fair in medium difficulty. Online is a blast. I have only had enough time to play through the first campaign solo but love it and the story so far.

rented this game today. Fun so far but things are starting to get repetitve already. Only made it through about three levels of the autobots. Glad I rented it but I am also glad I did not buy it from amazon. 9.0 ratings are for games like super mario galaxy, don't think this one is up there. a solid 7 maybe an 8.
Plenty of fan service too it comes up in the most random places.

I haven't played it yet, but I don't believe so since none of them existed during Cybertron (that I can remember). I believe the first combining set of Transformers was the Constructicons.

It looks like they have Metropolis and... I can't remember the name of the large Decepticon .

The reviews of this game and the Toy Story 3 game are blowing my mind.

No gestalt Transformers. The big Autobot is Omega Supreme and the big Decepticon is Trypticon.

I put my review of the game up a couple of hours ago. It has some faults but it is the best Transformers game made yet. It doesn't break out and reach the level that Batman: Arkham Asylum did though. It could have used a little more baking.

If I had to put a price at which I would but it, it would probably be $45. If nothing else, it is worth a rental.

The Constructicons existed on Cybertron. They were friends with Omega Supreme until Megatron reprogrammed them.

Got this from Gamefly yesterday and played first chapter of Decepticons. Game is pretty sick so far. I was using barricade and it was really fun. I'm into the story as well but it is still early.

Is the story in line with actual Transformers or Michael Bay Transformers? That will be a huge factor for me in whether I try this game out or not.

From what I've seen in reviews, the story is much closer to actual transformers, while the look is a middle ground between the two.

I was thinking of getting it at amazon, but it's back up to $60... so I'll be skipping it
