The Cybertron video games had a great view on the Dinobots hopefully they will follow that. Either way very excited. I don't know who the bad guy will be... Hope it is not the rumored evil Optimus Prime.

I hope it's not Devastator situation (first naming the Decepticon Brawl "Devastator", then making the merged Constructicons look flat out terrible...and with balls).

Sweet, I'm going to schedule a lobotomy the day before it comes out so I can enjoy a Michael Bay feature to the fullest.

Everything but 2 was decent. 2 was one of the worst movies ever in general. What were they thinking...

The thing about Transformers is anyone who enjoys the movies is going to see the next one no matter what, and anyone who doesn't wouldn't change their mind for any reason. So why not make it as stupid as possible.

I can see it now

Mark Wahlberg: "Hey Grimlock you're a robot that turns into a dinosaur? What's that all about? Well I produced Entourage. Say hi to your mother for me."

Ah, I see that Michael Bay's quest to endumben (that is the antonym of "enbiggen") our culture as low as absolutely possible continues on, unabated.

the drones will swallow it up, and never know why they do.

I took my parents to see it, I loved Transformers growing up. I was embarrassed sitting with them in Transformers 2

lol, its cute how there are already posters speculating on what may or may not be in the movie and talking about what they would or or wouldn't want to see as if the movies have ever actually truly catered to the fans.

the dinobots would be great. but what version? in the comics they range for ultra powerful guardians to just dumb brutes.

That is interesting...2 is the only one of them I liked...I couldn't tell you why that is, but it's true.

Even better, Shia "BIGGEST RUINER OF MOVIES EVER" Labeouf isn't going to be in it!

I think it was the producer that actually mentioned that the dinobots will be in the movie, and that was prior to the poster's official reveal. I saw it on IGN yesterday.

What was that, was it really different than the original show?

They were created by the Autobot Wheeljack in the old TV show, but in the Highmoon Studios video game, Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, they were autobots that were modified by the Decepticon Shockwave.

It is either fall of cybertron or War for Cybertron.
apparently they were smart before shockwave messed with them. The result of having brute strength made them kind of dumb. Not as bad as the cartoons but not brilliant either.
If you have not played with the games and love transformers they are a MUST play. I am not a superfan but I did watch transformers as a kid and really enjoyed the games' plot.

I finally tried playing War for Cybertron (the first one) the other day, and I had such a hard time getting into it. I almost had to force myself to keep playing. :\ I didn't mind dying because I was playing on hard, but Megatron felt so slow, and the third-person view wasn't all that pleasant. It didn't help that the level felt way too long and the textures were god awful. Albeit, War for Cybertron is a few years old.

Yeah War did have dated graphics. Could never beat the game on hard myself. I just put those games on easy and blow through the storyline. For gameplay I would think Fall is far superior. Dinobots, Bruticus and Starscream are a lot of fun.

War makes you pick autobot or decepticon where Fall just has one storyline and you play both.
3rd person does not bother me that much. I think the best game of this generation was the Rocksteady Batman Game.

Hmm I was considering skipping War for Cybertron and just going to Fall of Cybertron because I really wanted to play as Grimlock... mostly so I could just say things like, "Me, Grimlock, say you get smashed!", while playing. I figured that having the story from the original would help, so I played that. I do like that you say it's a combined story.

Oh, I don't mind third-person view for a lot of games, but it was rather awkward in the shooter game. I had a lot more trouble aiming that I would have expected, but I think that's because the characters aren't that fast so you can't aim quickly. I should try Warhammer 40K Space Marine to see if that's any better as it's an over-the-shoulder third-person shooter.
