I can't wait for the 3rd. The frist was awesome, the second couldn't compare, but was a good. They could have left out some stuff, but overall it was a fun movie.

I don't understand the hate, just watch and enjoy.

I love tonnes of stupid shit movies (heck, I liked Doomsday and I'm probably the only one), but Transformers 2 just had nothing fun or even cool in it. Even the special effects were not very interesting; everything was kind of a blur and the "funny" parts were not funny. Just an annoying movie all around.

Yeah... I have no problem with stupid movies full of CG but Transformers 2 was so bad

Michael Bay needs to ditch the pointless slow motion scenes, they are cringe worthy

The parts with the transformers are great. Fucking giant robots smashing eachother's faces in.

Needs less awkward twenty-one year old who still acts like a horny teenager anti-hero.

Bay seems to think that a panning camera is super awesome. So, whenever possible, that camera must be fucking panning for epic awesomeness!

Throw in a Homer Simpson home video-editing machine, and you can be sure that Bay would be star-fading into all of his already-poorly-edited, over-panned shots.

what a joke.

It was horrible, and I actually really liked the first one. Several reasons:

* An entire 40 minute lull in the middle of the movie where they have an "adventure" with the elderly robot. Awful.

* Devastator was completely stupid and pointless

* Stupid scene at the end where decepticons are unable to defeat a bunch of marines running around and megan fox's gratuitous tit-running

* The 2 jive-talking cars that provided zero comedic effect but much annoyance throughout the film.

Agreed. I mean, don't get me wrong...the first one was hardly a cinematic masterpiece but I could mostly ignore the parts that the humans were in and enjoy some good stupid ass robot fighting.

Interesting trailer to answer the question of "how the hell did we advance so far in such a short amount of time" technologically. :)

Transformers!! :)

The first one was good but I didnt realize how horrible the second one was until after I got over the hype. I hope this one will be better. Bay did admit himself that T2 sucked.

Bay stated that T2 sucked because of the writers strike, so supposedly he only had a few weeks to review the script and accept it.

“We tried to learn from the second movie. On the second movie we got burned. We had a writers strike, we had to agree on a story in three weeks, and then we knew they were going on strike. It was a fucked scenario all the way around, it wasn’t fair to the writer, it wasn’t fair to me, it wasn’t fair to anybody. It was still an entertaining movie, but I think we failed on certain aspects. What we did with this movie is I think we have a much better script, and we got back to basics. I think there’s some really cool action on this movie, there’s some very cool conspiracy, there’s great robot stuff in this that people were missing in the second one, you’ve got great robot conflict. So I’m excited about this movie. It’s more serious. I got rid of the dorky comedy, I mean we’ve got two little characters, that’s it, but the dorkiness is not there. Dork-free Transformers. It’s much more serious. It’s still entertaining, it’s big looking.”

While Transformers 2 (Not T2 fools - that's reserved for Terminator 2 :) ) was not the best movie I have ever seen I still enjoyed it. Not sure I understand all the hate but *shrug* to each their own. I am looking forward to Transformers 3

2nd one was created during the writers strike, they started production before there was a script, which is why it was even sh*ttier than expected., hopefully this one isn't so crappy.
Explain why the first was so shitty.

That's the only one I've seen (I knew better than to make the same mistake). This trailer confirms for me that the third movie will also be 100% awful (though the same fools will probably like it).

Exactly.

The second one was destined for shit before production started

As was the first.

Why?

Michael bay.
