I know... I feel these movies wasted what could have been something seriously great. If only it was placed in the hands of someone talented. Transformers + James Cameron would have been nice (not so much the Avatar James Cameron, but everything before Avatar James Cameron)
 
2nd one was created during the writers strike, they started production before there was a script, which is why it was even sh*ttier than expected., hopefully this one isn't so crappy.

Why do people hate the second movie so much??

This isn't Shakespeare. It's a movie about cars that turn into talking robots, what do you expect?

While there were a LOT of cringe worthy moments in the movie it was still a fun movie to watch while eating popcorn.

Cause it just plain sucked. There are plenty that hated the first one, but for me its pure ownage for visuals and sound.

I like explosions and robots a lot. T2 just got dumb. Very very very cringe worthy scenes, some humor was for 5 year old kids, and the final battle took FOREVER. They made a 15 minute scene at least 40 minute and just stuffed as much shit in there as they could no matter if it made sense or not.

Good point.

Someone should go back and re-edit the final battle and eliminate all the scenes involving humans and just have all the awesome robot fighting scenes. Eliminate Sam & his parents and sector 7 dude etc.. Would be interesting to see how much different it would play out.


Sorta like the guy who edited out JarJar from Episode one.

It was horrible, and I actually really liked the first one. Several reasons:

* An entire 40 minute lull in the middle of the movie where they have an "adventure" with the elderly robot. Awful.

* Devastator was completely stupid and pointless

* Stupid scene at the end where decepticons are unable to defeat a bunch of marines running around and megan fox's gratuitous tit-running

* The 2 jive-talking cars that provided zero comedic effect but much annoyance throughout the film.
 
I'm pretty damn sure that if we had found an alien space ship on the Moon, we would have built a fucking moon station very quickly.
