MY pitch:
Megan fox gets her friends elisha cuthbert, jessica alba, Hayden Panettiere all go to a beach party on a secluded island.
After much frolicing for 30 mins or so transformers arrive, battle between optimus and megatron, etc, other robots, lots of explosions, transformations, estimated budget in the billions for a 1 hour action sequence.
Last half hour is the girls washing optimus and other autobots after winning the battle.
The end :D

My Idea for Transformers 2 is to not make it suck like they did with the 1st one.

Transformers kicked ass

agreed

fixed :p

Yep. Transformers was by no means an example of fine movie-making. There were tons of plot holes, etc. However, it completely kicked so much ass as to make up for any flaws.

agreed again. it definitely was no academy award-winning world-class film, but it was definitely an enjoyable summer action movie that had life to it (more life than most summer action flicks). It was a fun movie to watch, and for, has yet to grow old, even after multiple viewings. Most action movies bore me after a few watches.

it was an enjoyable summer action movie, however it did not do any justice to transformers. not to mention as everyone said earlier the plot holes and horrible dialogue.

the editing was abysmal. action movies depend on tight editing--transformers was crap. can't enjoy action if you can't tell what's going on, and if there are far too many robots doing 360 spins everytime they jump getting in the way of the other action that further blocks out Megan Fox.

I didn't think it was too terribly difficult to follow at all, but then again, my mind could be compiling the multiple times I've seen it. ;)
personally, I think almost all of the plot holes are for convenience purposes, you know, making sure it's not a 4 hour movie. :p That, and most if not all can be 'filled' in the sequel.

Transformers 1 sucked, I never watched the cartoon and I didnt like the movie.

It was cheesy, full of plot holes, and basically anything relation to Micheal Bay and Jerry Bruckheimer or however you spell his name is JUNK.

Except bad boys 1

Transformers was a shitty movie that they threw enough money at to make mediocre. Transformers 2? More money, shittier plot. And that LeBeouf dude dies... at the hands of John Turturro. Nobody fucks with the Jesus.

You probably feel that way due to Bay choosing to film at 2.35:1

1.85:1 is typically used for action films due to the taller frame. I'm not sure why Teh Bay used Scope.

OP,

why would that be a good story. Wasn't that already explained in the first film? The Transformers fell to earth and Megatron happened to land and impact into the icy core of the pole.

My question about the story line of the first film:
Why did the genius government scientist spend the time and money to move a frozen Megatron to THE FUCKING DESERT!?

editing has nothing to do with plot holes. it's about putting shots together in a logical manner such that a coherent scene can manifest itself on screen. very important in action sequences, and a pillar of film making. this is something michael Bay has never grasped, and never will. he is a horrible, horrible person, and someone should just put him out of our misery :D
