What kind of videos/movies do you watch?

Reason I ask is one of the reasons I want a Prime is because it is the first 10 inch Android tablet with the power to play my pile of HD mkv files. The four cores, better GPU for games, and slimmer design are just icing on that cake for me.

If by watching movies you just mean the Netflix app just go get either the Galaxy Tab or the iPad 2 and enjoy.

If you did want to be able to play your own pile of mkvs either get the Galaxy Tab 7 Plus or just wait for the Prime. Nothing else on the market is suitable (ESPECIALLY nothing that is Tegra 2).

Wait, are you saying the ipad 2 is capable of playing the mkv movies, or not? I went ahead an bought an ipad 2, but then came home and was reading these posts again and I wasn't totally sure if you said it could play them or not.

Either way, I figure I have 14 days to try out the ipad, and if I don't like it, I can return it and get the prime instead.

I have played my mkvs with the wife's iPad 2 using XBMC.

Of course, on the iPad you can use software like Air Video (highly recommended) to stream on demand your library. That is the one app I really miss from iOS.
