So i guess the big questions I have are:
1) will it work with the previous generation dock?
2) will it still be priced at $399 for 16gb?

The only thing I'm weary about is getting a tablet without a USB port...but that processor sounds oh so nice.

Full or Micro? I think the Micro USB connectors are pretty universal on all Android tablets.

1- Not sure, but would it even match the styling on the original dock?

2- No idea. But, it is Asus, so it'll be priced competitively.

I'm dying to find out the price of this thing. I'll pay $399, but probably not any more.

Hmm I was hoping that it would be $399 again. They don't actually state the memory size in the article though... I assume it's 16GB (like the original was). Maybe they pulled a Motorola and decided to start with 32GB. ;)

I'd really like to know this as well. If it can do these two things, it's most definitely replacing my MBP.

I believe the original Transformer was capable of playing MKV files like that, but it had the whole Tegra 2 B Frame problem that made it unable to play a decent amount of high-profile h264 video. :(

Pretty cool tablet.

EDIT: Tegra 3 is the quad-core version of Tegra 2 right?

I want it... but not at that price. Tablet + dock would cost quite a lot of money. Despite knowing I'd use it I just don't see me buying it until it drops in price to match at least the first Transformer.

I was quite interested until the price was announced. Sorry tablet guys, I'm simply not paying $500 for your tablet (unless it's a Windows 8 tablet using Ivy Bridge).

The leaks are not informative at all. I hope they come out with better pictures/info. Right now I can't tell the difference (visually) from the existing Transformer and dock.

Isn't the Transformer 1 built mostly out of plastic? This guy is brushed aluminum which is a lot like your fancier tablets.

It's really just about the convenience of the real keyboard combined with being able to play the majority of my media that I want. The Transformer 1 handles the first part fine, but not the second. I own an iPad and a TouchPad, but frankly... I can't stand typing a lot at once.

I tried doing some IMing from my iPad the other night, and I absolutely hated it. I just got up and went back to my desktop. I kept feeling like I was limited to 20 words or less or else I'd fall behind in the flow of the conversation. As you can see by my posts, I tend to be quite the wordy bastard. :p

I haven't typed that much when I was trying my brother's ipad2 but the OS seems to be a lot smoother and responsive than my TF. Even after all the honeycomb updates there is still that delay while typing. Sometimes the typing will freeze for a second or two before the letters show up on the screen. Makes you think that it didn't receive the input and you'll retype the letters only to find out you repeated the letters. Makes me want to smash my TF on the ground when it does this.
