Transferring Outlook mail from one system to another?

I've been on a business trip; I have Outlook (not Express) messages saved on the laptop. When I get home, I want to transfer all of the messages from the laptop to my main PC at home. I have a full wired LAN at home so connectivity is not an issue. I do run a Domain at home though, and the laptop is NOT part of the domain, nor can I make it part. The laptop isn't mine.

Best way to do this, please?

Thanks. :)

I would make the laptop part of your workgroup then "import" the messages from OE.
Right-click My Computer, select Computer Name, click CHANGE button to name the same workgroup for both comps.

File>Import/Export>Export to file>Export to pst. Select folders to export and location to save. Copy pst to network share or cd, reverse procedure (import) on destination pc.

Be wary of the encrypted PSTs for Office 2003 and higher. They won't open on your desitnation machine unless you are importing to Office 2003 or have it installed on the desitnation machine.

Thanks very much everyone. Greatly appreciated!

I exported two unencrypted .pst's to my pen drive; inbox.pst and outbox.pst and I'll import them to my main system when I get home.

Now when I do that, these two new .psts won't REPLACE what I've got already at home right? The messages will just be added, right?

I can always just join the laptop to my domain and import that way. What do you think?

Have a good day.

You will have the option of overwriting duplicates or duplicating identical entries.
