Question Transferring LibreOffice documents to MS Office

Is there a way to convert ods and odt files created using LibreOffice to xls (spreadsheets) and doc (word documents) without losing the formulas after conversion? If so, is there a way to do this with multiple files at once? I also have MS Office 2007 Ultimate (purchased by me at a huge student discount at the time) but have not used it since 2014 and used LibreOffice instead for work.

Does LibreOffice Support Xlsx?

LibreOffice is compatible with a wide range of document formats such as Microsoft® Word (.doc, .docx), Excel (.xls, .xlsx), PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx) and Publisher.

In LibreOffice Calc, click File > Save As. In the Save window, click on the All Formats list box and select the . xlsx format. Choose the file name and path and click the Save button.

XLSX is a zipped, XML-based file format. Microsoft Excel 2007 and later uses XLSX as the default file format when creating a new spreadsheet. Support for loading and saving legacy XLS files is also included. XLS is the default format used with Office 97-2003.

Is there a way to do batch conversions as I have 100's of files I want to convert?

Older versions of Microsoft Office have issues with handling formulae in .ods format (LibreOffice, OpenDocument Spreadsheet), but I think more recent versions might be alright.

Someone might have designed a method of batch-converting OpenDocument files to MSO, but I'm having difficulty divining the logic of batch-converting a bunch of files from a free and currently-supported piece of software so that you can use the files in a proprietary and no-longer-supported piece of software. IMO just leave/have LO installed, have it handle OpenDocument files only (and do save as MSO in LO on a case-by-case basis), and use your out-of-date version of MSO that will probably be effectively killed by some future Windows update, just like its predecessors?

- edit - I was trying to think of a way of easily testing my theory about more recent versions of MS handling ODS formulae correctly, and I remembered the web version of MSO. It can't handle ODS files full stop!

Office 2007 has a really weird UI feel, compared to other Office versions. I see no reason to use it over LO, especially since LO is much more optimized for the latest hardware now.

You could use them both and alternate between them.

On the free web version of MS Office do I have to upload a file from my SSD to my One Drive if I want to view a docx file that I downloaded, if I want to view the file with the online version of MS Office?
