I am transfering some things from an old hard drive to my new computer. I set the old one up as a slave, and everything is working fiine.
My question is, is it allright to tranfer whole programs that were already installed on the old hard drive? Or should I reinstall them fresh onto the new drive. I kept everything neat, whenever I installed a program on the old drive, I made a seperate folder for it, and installed all the files in it, so I could just drag the folder over to the new drive, it looks like.

Thanks for any help :)

No, most of the time you can't just move the program over. It won't hurt to try but, you most likely have to reinstall your proggies.

If you have Partition Magic, it has a nice utility that will change all the drive references for you if you want.
