Transfer OS/Progs from 1hdd to another?

I've got a 40gig 5400rpm drive in my system right now. I just got a new 60gig 7200rpm drive and wish to use that for my main drive and use the 40gig for storage.

So, how would I go about transfering Windows + Programs from the 40gig to the 60gig? Is it as easy and Select All > Copy > Paste? What about the MBR?

I've done some searching and one person said Norton Ghost, but don't have the faintest idea on how to use it.

BTW, I wasn't sure whether to post this in GH or Software so I thought OT would be the best combination of the two.

usually HDD manufacturers have utlilities to trasnfer paritions.
