Is there a way to send a large file (75MB) to a family member without having to purchase space somewhere? Most sites like yahoo briefcase only give around 30MB. I wanted to do a direct transfer via IM but it wont send a file that big.

Any Ideas?

I dont have access to place a FTP server outside of a firewall.

You can set one up on just about any machine. Are you trying to do this from work or home or what? We need more info. I guess AIM might be simpler though.

From work to work, neither allowing AIM (only YIM). I was thinking that there might be a file storage space on the net that would allow temporary storage.

This sounds evil but TRY to find an ftp site that has anonymous access and allows uploading.. upload the file, have you friend download it and then try to delete it asap.. encrypt the file, of course...

or use winrar/power archiver/etc. to split it up into chunks.. then email these chunks... or, i'm in a friendly mood.. PM me and I'll make a temporary account on my ftp server for you to upload it to...

i send 700mbs files regularly with my buddies over aim, works fine.

Oh yeah, I totaly agree it's possible. I was just saying that he said "AIM doesn't work" yet the second responce suggested to use AIM so it seemed not too helpful...
