Trans-Siberian Orchestra 2005 Tour

TheNinja - My advice is to have two browsers open (example: IE & Firefox) and find tickets as fast as you can. I kept being offered bad seats then I got floor seats. Still greedy, I kept trying to get better seats and none showed up so I bought them. Well sure enough, after I bought them, better seats came up (same row, but seats 1-2 instead of 10-11)

But they are much more expensive though right? It might be a little known fact but Ninjas are cheap bastards

how are they in two places at one time?? like the last show - in manchester nh and moline il at 8pm on the same day??

Jon Oliva, Paul O'Neill, and Robert Kinkel are awesome.
I'm amused that so many people know TSO, but many of them have never heard of Savatage.....
(TSO started off as a side project for these guys .... hehehe)

Ohh well, still good music though ...

First Reason: They are magical
Second Reason: There is an East Coast and a West Coast tour group.

First Reason: They are magical

Third Reason - Twice as much money to be made.

I love them though!!!

Wow! have fun. I can't even stand to listen to Chrismas Music yet.
I am seeing them Dec 9th, 5th row, main floor. Should be sweet!

I saw the show this past weekend.

It was a good show, but I had some problems with it.

We went to see it in Wilkes-Barre, at the Wachovia center. The place was designed to watch sports, so all of the chairs are facing the field instead of the stage. By the end of the show both my wife and I had stiff necks.

I don't know if the orchestra brings their own sound mixer or hires whoever runs the mixer for the center, but that person did an awful job. They had the sound turned up way too high overhall, so instead of hearing the music you felt the music, and by the end of the show both my wife and I had problems hearing each other talk. They had the voices turned up so high that it occassionally cracked the speakers. The electric guitar was turned up so high that you had trouble making out the individual chords, and it completely drowned out the orchestra.

The light, laser, and pyrotechnic effects were great. But I do feel bad for whoever sat upfront of the stage. They had some intense spotlights turned down at 90 degrees right in those people's faces at some times - they were only 6 feet away from them.

My opinion is that I enjoy my CD more than the show, and I know next time to buy tickets for seats on the opposite end of the field.

I saw them for the first time last winter cause my mom got free tickets from the radio station because she advertises on it. THis thing really confused the heck out of me. I am not saying it was entertaining...but wow is it wierd. Its such a interesting concept. We saw them at Hershey and we could only make it half way through. I mean i think it wasl ike 2 hours in and then they said they were half done..I mean come on! I can only take so much.

I mean really...how did this come to pass. When i see or hear them i try thinking of how it all happend. Some old 80 rock band guys in a basement during xmas sitting around talking when one would say
"Man I want to rock"
"Yeah me too"
"But what should we rock about" as one looks out the window in a gaze at christmas lights with some orchestra music in the background
"Christmas!"
"Yeah lets rock out!"
as they jump into action, get their axes out and jump into their 80 gear

Sorry...that was bad
