Well I got this PCMCIA card after I broke Netgear card.
It seems good deal cuz it's only $16.15 + tax on compusa after rebate.
I received it yesterday and put it in my laptop and driver and utility installation done well.
After installation, I notice there's 3 AP avaliable around my house which I didn't notice when I had netgear.
With netgear I was not able to connect to my neighborhood AP due to low signal.
But now, I can connect 2 other AP and using internet. No WEP or secuirty enabled..
it even shows as excellent signal strength 90%+.
The problem is I can't access my AP.
I bring my laptop to front of AP and try to connect and I can't get it connected.
Sometimes it says connected but no signal availiable.
Is there something wrong between this card and LINKSYS AP/ROUTER ?
I have 2 USB Wifi on second floor (Compaq USB, D-Link USB) and they works fine include my previous netgear PCMCIA card.
My surprise is this card can't see or connect to the AP right front of it but it can detect far away AP and
gives me excellent signal meter.
There's also frequent signal drop when I'm using neighborhood's AP.
Can someone guess what could be wrong ?
