While it is sad the Mike Clattenburg is gone from the directors seat, it still has been a good year for Trailer Park Boys fans. I really loved seeing "Dont Legalize it", I cant wait for Swearnet movie, and I thought the Dublin Special was pretty funny. ONE MORE DAY until season 8, one stinkin day...

Binge watched all of season 8, it was pretty good.

I started watching TPB on Netflix.

I got maybe ten minutes into the first episode. It was unbearable.

Is there a point where this becomes interesting or funny? I mean, yeah, I judged it quickly, but...from a comedy (?), I expect...some kind of attempt at comedy?

I think I remember having the same initial experience. Took most of the first season before I started enjoying it, but since then i've seen everything. It's one of the first mockumentary type shows. That's got to count for something.

Ive been through season 8 twice. My favorite lines invole "leaves comber" or when orangie was "sleeping."

Bubbles whining took a bit away from it, but IMO, this was better than season 7.

Id say 2-6 are my favorites though.

Agree with 2-6 being the best. In that 101 documentary one of the producers says that what he hears a lot is how people know these characters or people like them irl. Maybe it requires a kind of underprivileged or degenerate background or something that a lot of people haven't experienced or can't relate to. But the characters are actually good people underneath it all. It's a sweet show.
