There was a previous Movie, but before that it was a TV Series. Kinda like South Park with grown ups. Sorta anyways.
 
I watched a ton of those, but watching that I think I've had enough of TPB. After a while they just blur together.
 
The movie wasn't as good as the episodes. Trailer Park Boys first few seasons are all SOLID GOLD. Then a bit downhill from there, though I've never disliked any of their stuff. This movie looks pretty decent.

Yeah when I watched the trailer yesterday it made me want to go back and watch. And it'd work to start at season 1, since by the time I got through all seven plus the movies and specials, I'd be all ready for the September movie release (although I doubt it'll be in the US theaters). And it works that I'm just about done with season 3 of 24.
