Watching Fox & Friends, and they say that James Traficant wants to run for another term FROM PRISON.

This surely can't be possible, can it?

I wonder how many votes he'd get.

He can run, but if he were to win, Congress can refuse to seat him even so. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe this is true.

Ohio does not have any laws keeping a jailed individual from running. However, if he's held in a federal penn, outside of Ohio, he technically isn't a resident of Ohio.

In a country where Marion Barry gets elected after a jail stint and a candidates wife inherits votes for her dead husband and serves in his place is this really so unthinkable?
