Find a single poll or study on traffic where Atlanta comes out worse than Los Angeles. I'll bet you can't find one.

I driven both a lot, I'll take LA over Atlanta.

The thing about roads and mass transit is that you have to build them first before you build the houses and jobs. Though if you played sim city you realise it's damn near impossible to raise enough revenue to pay for them before you have reached clusterfuck mass. Do you think they will ever create a fund that they can use as a piggy bank for more roads/transit to support people 10 years from now? Fuck no, no one wants to pay more taxes. They wait until some one else will pay for it like federal money who are all ready taxing your paycheck by 40%.

Congrads, we are now paying federal taxes so people in California or NYC can sit on a shitty mass transit system.

Current L.A. traffic situation...

I love listening to the traffic reports on 1070 or 980--they take forever. It'd be a lot shorter if the traffic report told us what sections of freeway aren't jammed up.

Because Los Angeles, has a wanabe train called the red line metro, and its very limited to the area's it can go.

We cant put up subways everywhere, we have something called earth quakes.

IFX when was the last time u drove in LA?

I've never seen someone defend how shitty an aspect of their city is so vehemently before. Bravo. The last time I was in LA was 2007. I suppose since then it's been hit with a nuclear bomb which has removed all the roads? :awe:

Boston also has bad traffic. In fact during certain times of the day it is allowed to drive in the breakdown lane to relieve traffic...which doesn't really help. Luckily it has one of the best public transit systems.

Well, it's 5:07. Time to head out into the madness that is Orlando traffic. There are 2 million people in the Orlando metro and no viable mass transit, not to mention that no part of this area is realistically walkable. So, our traffic sucks and I'm about to go do my part!

Many years ago I heard that Orlando has the highest population density of millionaires in the country. I suspect they would have little use of a mass transit system.

It doesn't go anywhere useful. If you live in Pasadena and work in Downtown, perhaps. But I lived on the westside, and a subway will never, ever go to the westside.

They do have a bus that goes to the westside, but I never rode it.

The subway/train map looks impressive, until you overlay a city street map over it, and you realize you can't get anywhere on it. Compare it to DC or NYC's subways, where you actually could get around town on them.
