I got pulled over for not stopping completely at a stopsign going off a ramp onto a road. They must have changed the yield sign that week and I didn't pay attention to it
there was a tractor trailer in front of me, i slowed down so much, couldnt have been going more than 1 mile, there was no oncoming traffic and visibility was 100% clear. Cop pulls me over and gives me an $85 ticket.

Since I am from PA, I do not think i will receive points for the offense, but it will still go on record. Should i even bother taking this thing to court? I already called and pleaded not guilty, and i've heard that the nj court system is really gay, and if there is a trial i will have to pay court fees (wtf is this china?) . I might just suck it up and pay the fine, no matter how dumb this was. I feel this ticket is like a ticket for going 60 in a 55.

Don't you know it's better to run from the cops. Yes, in most jurisdictions you have to pay court costs, best to just call them and ask. Also, you probably will get points in PA.

PA does not give points for "minor traffic violations" if it occured in other states, but it will still go on record.

You will get points in PA. This is considered a "moving violation" and will be treated as such. You will get the standard 2 points on your license.

And yes, if you go to court you will pay a court fee, as designated by the judge. It could be anywhere from 30 to 150.

just go to court... if it's your first offense, they'll give you some other bs violation that has no points but like $200-$300 fine.

Thats not true. It might happen, but it all depends on the prosecutor/judge.

"Although reported to PennDOT, minor traffic offenses such as speeding, red light, stop sign etc. will (NOT) appear on your driving record... Points will not be assessed to your PA driving record when convicted of a point related offense in a DLC member state."

I think i might just suck up the $85 fee...

As far as I can tell, this says you will get the points:

Reporting of all traffic convictions and license suspension/revocations of out-
home state licensing agency, as well as other appropriate information; and

And also, last June my sister-in-law who lives in Philly, received a failure to observe signal (ran a red) in NJ and the points showed up on her PA license two months after her court date.

EDIT: I just saw your update and, now, reading that, I dont think you should get the points.

But now this makes no sense, as my SIL got points for a red light infraction!!!

I agree.. Pay the $85 fee and then if the points show up then show up with this document. Although it is dated 2005, so they might have a new one out. WHich would explain my sister in law getting points.
