Traffic on Friday

The same people commute to and from work, right? I don't get it.

Even people who travel are usually in on Friday.

No one likes to stay late at work on Fridays.

I'm gonna be traveling the 405 northbound from the Rosecrans exit to the 101 interchange tonight at about 6:30PM.

Could everyone living along this 15 mile stretch please get on at the same time and we'll see if I can break the 2 hour mark?

People like to go places for the weekend, so they try to get a head start out to Vegas.

Rarely works, unless you leave at noon.

I don't have this problem at all because I don't live in California so it maybe adds 15 minutes to my commute to go during rush hour.

There are extra people in the world on Friday afternoons. I refer to them, amazingly enough, as the Friday Afternoon People. They simply don't exist at any other times. I also suspect they cease to exist as soon as they are no longer in my way sort of like the Slow Thing that appears in the right lane exactly one mile before my exit. However, based on your observation that the Friday Afternoon People also exist in your reality, I may have reconsider that idea.

Yeah, friday traffic sucks... it turns my 10 minute commute into an 11 minute commute.

I hate my 40 minute 50 mile commute

1. The commute time is closer together. The people who typcially stay until 7 or 8 leave at 3 or 4 on Friday

2. People who drive or fly on monday then stay all week, also fly/drive back on friday to go home for the weekend.

3. People go away for the weekend after work. Normally these people would not be on the roads.

10 miles to get home, and it takes 15 minutes, no matter what day it is (15N from SD, btw, getting on at Miramar).
