We don't have them on the west coast!

First time I ever saw one was just outside Boston near Andover, weird!

People here say traffic circle, and it's what I usually say, but I prefer rotary. Just fun to say :)

Anyway, circle here.

EDIT: Grammar

Yeah, got it from that thread...I just remember being corrected by a teacher for saying "traffic circle", but aparently it's just regional, and you can say it either way.

Just to add I love "traffic circles". It is very entertaining to trap people in the inside lane on ones that have them.

I don't think I've ever even seen one..... I couldn't visualize it by the description.

I voted "traffic circle" because that sounds more like something I would say.. I've never used rotary.. as in, "That's a rotary.".

Doesen't make any sense.

rotary as in rotating around a circle. How does this not make sense?

I call it a roundabout actually. Maybe I watch too much TopGear

Rotary sounds cooler, so I voted for that.

So you're saying the phrase "That's a rotary." makes sense?

Isn't that using the word "rotary" as a noun, when it is an adjective? There needs to be another word there, like "That's a rotary ... table.".. or something.
