Ok, so heres the long story.

My friend comes over and drools over my new Sony 46" 1080p XBR3. I could see he really wants it. He played Counter Strike on it for like 5 hours until his eyes started watering. He looked at me and said " I MUST HAVE THIS." I laughed and said " Don't we all." He said he seriously wants to buy it off of me, and said what do you want for it. I thought of the most lamest, stupidest, and coolest thing I could think of, and said, Three Super Big TV's. He stood there, for a while, then came a long pause and then he said............................................... No Problem. He then left the house, called me up a bit later and said he has three 720p 50 inch plasma's waiting for me at his workplace. ( He works at a warehouse, gets great deals ) I thought he was kidding at first but he was really telling the truth, I said I would think it over and hung up. The more I thought about it, the more I was amazed. I would mainly use it for gaming so that would be a pretty cool experience. I researched for a bit, and found Triple head 2 go, and SOFTth, If I used this mehtods, it would be possible to play games on these monitors right ? And Finally is it a good idea, or a bad one....

Short Story--- 46 Inch 1080p or 150 Inches of JOY.

IMHO, I'd take the deal even if you can make them all one big screen.

You could put one to a wall and then your couch on the other wall. That would be sweet.

As long as they are a reputable brand of plasma tv, like panasonic or pioneer, great deal. I would take it as long as they are a well-known brand.

Honestly... it's NOT worth it. For example, your XBR probably cost $3000 give or take a bit. You can purchase, NEW in BOX a Vizio 50" 720p plasma for under $1000. My guess is that he wants to give you 3 lower end sets for the price of one high end set. Really, not a good deal, especially going from LCD to Plasma.

?

You know, mount the plasma directly above your bed on the ceiling so you can watch TV while you lay down.

^^ thats a good point
he cud just buy a cheap 1080p samsung easy

I'd suggest u ask which model those 50 inch tvs are
If they turn out to be good,go for it

3 TVS>1

But this whole story seems fishy(no offense intended)

I definately would not take the deal. Obviously the plasmas are lower res, but you might be missing that they are probably 1024x768 with rectangular pixels. That will be terrible for games. Also, very few games support 3 screens- the only ones being some flight sims.
