When you login to TradePub, they have a lot of free books available. However, I don't think you can request them for something specific. PacktPub.com has their annual $5 per Ebook sale going on right now. I'm sure you will find something useful there. Problem with $5 sale is, it's tough to not buy 100 ebooks!
