I currently work for a school and trying to track down which user is logged into which workstation can be a tedious task. is there a software that can do this? free would be nice

If you use NT, start-settings-control panel-admin tool-local security policy-local policies-audit policies and audit login events. That will tell you who logged in and who tried to login.

yea i know about that, but i remember a tool where you bring up a list of usernames and it will tell you where they last logged into or if they currently are logged in, where they are at that moment
