Bah, they upped the price on GT Superclock to $349.99. It doesn't seem worth quite that much to me. Anyone know if eVGA would let me move over to the GT CO queue?

That's only $10 more than the price listed on the first page of this thread. If they are going to be anal about the "higher value" rule, this is still the minimum card those of us who got the mobo/vid card combo can go to.

In general, how far do you move up the the queue in one day?

The problem with your question is that no one has moved up the queue because of actual fullfillment. I think that right now, we are only seeing people move around to different queues since the prices were posted. However, if you really want to know the specifics in my case:
3/9/06 -- Applied. Queue #25
3/10/06 -- Pushed back to Queue #27
3/13/06 -- Moved up to Queue #23

I would really be surprised if anyone received their continuation notice this week.

Now (and I'm hoping for this one) evga might (and hopefully) get a lot in stock so they can take a lot of step up's per day.

I'm hoping for that one.

yeah, thats what happened with the 7800gtx step up.

the way evga allocates the cards they have leaves the step up a little short. i think once they ensure good stock at etailers they'll push some more cards into the step up program.

took me about two weeks iirc.

You guys are cracking me up! 🙂 Especially the ones who put thier name in the que and 2 days later are whining about moving only a couple spots.

Here's how I look at it. I didn't even know they had a step up program till I saw this thread. I bought my 7800GT in February with the free motherboard offer. It runs my games fantastic. Now the thought that I can even get into a program like this and upgrade to a newer faster model card for a few sheckles more blows my mind. If I have to wait 4 or 5 months I don't care. This is freaking awesome and no one should be complaining about how long it takes as long as it happens........in a resonable amount of time 😉

QFT.

It's not like you are without a card until they get their step up units in. I am really glad I went EVGA. Even if the wait turns out to be a few months it is still a fantastic deal.

At least you get to keep the cards (till they need them). There good enough for now. I can wait and I'm not in a rush, I just like complaining about moving a couple of spots 😛

lol

If I move from spot #1 for the 7900GT CO Superclock for any other reason than succesfully completing the step up, I'll be complaining right there with you 😉

First time I actually found out we could check our position in the queue. am at # 77 for the regular 7900 GT stepping up from 6600 GT.

think im gonna lose 15 % cos I tossed out the box.

My guess would be that everyone would get cleared up in a day when they get shipments. 500 cards shouldnt be a big deal fro EVGA to clear up. Just depends on when they decide to entertain step ups over teh crazy demand retialers such as the egg must be having form them.

UPDATE : 77 to 76 in teh last 5 mins.

Looks like things are moving Moved up to 66 now in the last hour. ANy of u guys who are in teh top 10 see a change?

As long as your are within the 90 day period of purchase u can upgrade to anything they come out with or exists.

EDIT Need to check my facts from below comment.

step up is a one time offer only

once you're stepped up, you will NO LONGER be able to step up again using the card you received

Straight from T&C

Whatever this means

Participants in the EVGA Step-up? Program are entitled to exercise one (1) upgrade event during the span of the program, per eligible graphics card.

I have gone from #22 to #20 in the que for a 7900GT CO.

Lucky you, I'm now down to 129 from 137 in last two days. Now if just a 100 people would cancel I might get the card in less than a month at this rate 😉

i'm still wondering if people are canceling their step up or rather evga's actually stocking the 7900 gtx

obviously going from #40 to #16 for me was a huge jumb
but i'm still pretty skeptical of evga since all 7900 series cards are currently "backordered"

for the stepup program, do i use the price of the video card before or after the rebate, since my card has a $30 rebate
