Seems like the NF7-S Rev 1.2 is now showing up, I know excaliberPC has them, but I really don't want to buy from them since some people have had problems with them. Those of you who know which resellers have them in stock, or if you recently bought one that's a Rev 1.2, please post them here. Thanks!

I would like to know also..... As for ExcaliberPC, The rep I spoke with impressed me by actually asking for my phone # and e-mail address to LMK when the board would be back in stock. A few hours later I received this:
Dear customer,

We are really sorry that we may only be able to get new supply until
early next month.

eXcaliberPC.com
At least they are not charging credit cards first and then LYK that they are out of stock.

Anyway, I probably will order from them if I cannot find a guaranteed Rev. 1.2 elsewhere.

Actually, your need to be carefully there...

The product page says "in stock now!"

But when you add it to your cart ... its says out of stock...

---> I got an email saying the same about early next month...

A sales rep. at GameVE.com said via telephone, that they do currently have stock of the Abit NF7-S ver. 1.2 board.
But resellerratings.com rating is not too good for them. I'm waiting until someplace with a better (7.0+) rating has them.

I have been using Abit boards for awhile. The one I have now, KX7333r, and its my last for this very reason. I get so sick and tired of the numerous board revisions. Yes other companies have them too, but not like Abit.

Yes they all do and most for a reason (updating the MoBo's Hardware) and then there are some Comps that do it just for changing colors...Now that's ridiculous IMO but I guess they want to differentiate them all....

After reading your Post I'd hate to think about your updating views with software and OS's ;)

I'm interested on this mobo, but I don't think I would risk ordering from a retailer that won't guarantee rev 1.2. At least not on the near term.

My reply from Newegg....

*snicker* - like I said ... its wait and see

Dear Valued Customer,

Generally, our stock moves so fast that we have the latest version or revision of everything. Unfortunately, we do not have a way to physically get our hands on our most current stock and tell you what revision we have at the moment. Also, I cannot tag a particular item for a particular order. We ship what we have, when we have it, at our discretion. We do not guarantee revision numbers.

Sounds rather angry ... doesnt it?
I asked nicely also, incase your wondering.

Yes, not good for newegg. I think the marketplace is demanding to retailers that they provide more details about the products they sell. Looks like Excaliberpc has found it's niche. I think newegg and others will follow this trend.

What sounds so angry about their response? I think its a straightforward and minimal bullshit response. If a company is operating at the level of Newegg, volume-wise, they will not have the time to check unless the manufacturer itself has phased out a revision number and is exclusively shipping a newer one. But manufacturers sometimes have old versions mixed in with the new ones and they ship it out to retailers that way too . Smaller vendors may have the time to check out individual inventory and 'hand-pick' a sample to ship out to you but not large ones.

Dood ... all I said

I've heard rumors your shipping the revision 1.2 for the NF7-S
motherboard.

I ordered hopeing this is the case, can you verify revision 1.2?

Thanks soooo much ... in advance!

This is what bothered me....

We ship what we have, when we have it, at our discretion.

So? Now, your feelings are hurt because of that? It seems like you read too much into things that aren't there. You have to consider that whoever wrote that has his/her own style of writing and that it doesn't really represent what Newegg 'feels'.

No ,, it gives me the impression ... that..

Because I asked that simple question ... that ... they... at 'their discretion' ...

would purpously send me what I dont want ... and older version

Well, newegg buyers, please report in. I would like to know if they are stocked with Rev 1.2s or do they still stock of old revs. Thanks!

No luck here.... I was going to take a chance from Newegg today, but backed out at the last minute. It looks like I will be waiting for ExcaliberPC to get more in stock unless something else comes along.

EDIT: Hey LED, Sell me your board man!! :p
