I was just wondering most of you use. I have always used a mouse but the other day I decided to get a Microsoft Trackball Optical and give it a shot. I have to say that it's different to say the least.

For those that do use a trackball, how long did it take to get used to it?

I use an optical mouse.

I think it would take me a while to get used to a trackball if I decided to change. :)

I can't stand trackballs. I can get used to most things, but not trackballs. I'll stick with my optical mouse.

Trackball, but you could save yourself some time and do a search. This exact subject has been polled at least 5 times, probably more.

the first pointing device i bought ever, independent of the computer, was a trackball. it was small enough to fit in my hand, making controls easier than having a bulky unit.

I have a collection of mice and trackballs. =) much of which i still use
