Hey Guys,

For those of you who haven't yet downloaded the Track Mania Sunrise demo or haven't played the full game, i would recommend trying it out.

It is a fun game to play especially on LAN the graphics are complete eyecandy. and although its more of an arcadey type racing game it is full of stunts/jumps and tricks that are great to boast and watch in the replay mode with the other people you were racing against.

It also has a track creator like the first edition of the game which allows you make your own tracks and then play on them with your mates and you can test out your track on the fly as the editor zooms you straight in and your car appears and you can test 😀

Anyways just thought i would let you guys know, to many games are the same thing these days and its games like these that break up the FPS.

I take it thats some kind of remake for the Stunts 4D game that everyone played lightyears ago?. I loved that game!

the best thing is, you can play multiplayer internet games with different tracks with just the demo. brilliant!

Yup, I played the hell out of the demo. I'd just try to play as many different maps as I could, simply so the map would be downloaded for offline play. 🙂

GoGamer had the full version for like $10 a few weeks ago...I doubt the price has changed.

Yup, I played the hell out of the demo. I'd just try to play as many different maps as I could, simply so the map would be downloaded for offline play. 🙂

it's ok - knowing that it will be in the bargain bin somewhere is good enough for me 🙂

nothing beats getting nice game deals from the bargain bin!! well.. for us geeks.. 😱
 
I tried out the demo a while ago... wasnt really all that impressed. It did run well and was kind of interesting, but I dont know if I'd spend the money on it.

i might just be a no0b when it comes to racing games - maybe this is why i enjoyed it so much.

but when i made it through a few levels in the demo and saw a huge half-pipe, i was hooked.

the demo also seems to keep the camera-angle the same most of the time. does anyone know if the full version allows for multiple camera angles? thx.

It's been a while since I played the demo, but I remember being able to change between 3 or 4 different camera angle (similar to the typical camera angles used in the NFS series).

cool. i prefer to be a little higher than right on the back bumper. with some of the tracks, you actually lose sight of what's in front of you, particularly if you're driving up an incline.

i assume you are able to change the music as well? although, i did find the music that came with the demo somewhat catchy!! 🙂

So the expansion pack is free for those with the full retail version of Sunrise? If so, that's great.

I've played both the demos for the original TM and Sunrise, but just never got around to getting the full versions. Are there many downloadable tracks available, or is it just mainly multiplayer. I enjoy racing others, but also enjoy offline racing.
 
All the expansion packs (3) have been free. There has been 2 for the original and now TMSX for Sunrise.

There's tens of thousands of user-made tracks available for download on the net. The best place is TM-Exchange (TMX): http://www.tm-exchange.com

TMX has over 20,000 tracks for the original and over 19,000 tracks for Sunrise.
