I just bought a 3.4L V6 Toyota Tacoma. I can get this factory Supercharger for $800 less than the $2600 factory price. Is it worth the 75HP boost? I could get headers to boost another 15HP, as well. That would take a 190HP V6 to 280HP. This little Tacoma would fly!!

If you have the cash available, I'd go for it, the only thing I would be worried about is that w/ an empty bed, too much HP might be wasted spinning the tires, but that too would be fun :D

With that much added money, why don't you get something more powerful in the first place.

no, you really get about 40hp to the wheels with the TRD SC. I have a 00 4Runner and I'm saving up for the SC.... I'll get one someday. :frown: Add Edelbrock headers and a flowmaster 40 catback and maybe get 10hp.

If you have any questions visit the 4x4Wire Forums

That's $1800, not $800

I don't like the Tundra look. So, that's why I bought a Tacoma. And I would never buy an American Truck. Can you imagine trying to resell your Ford when they're giving $4000 cash back on new ones at the dealership? It's happened to many people I know and they are honestly pissed.

It's actually $800.00 less than the $2600.00 factory price, which is still $1800.00 Phuz.

edit: splice beat me to the reading comprehension part of this thread ;) :)

Hamburgerpimp, just out of curiosity, isn't your Tacoma built in the US?

Yeah, I heard the boost on the Tundras are insane! The dealer below may be able to swing you a deal. And you save on Sales Tax if you live outside TX!

Hmm, engineered in Japan and made in the U.S. I think it said final assembly in California. Parts from Japan. Or, something like that.

I'm sure the engineering was in Japan, and from the link I posted "assembled" in CA, but what throws me off is this personally:
*Toyota vehicles and components are built using many U.S. parts.
found at the bottom of this URL: WONDERING WHERE TOYOTAS ARE BUILT?* . I suppose this is what a global ecenomy is all about Hamburgerpimp.
