why? you could make an insanely powerful gas electric hybrid. low end torque boosted by electric motors weee! like the 400hp honda dual note concept.

i think they were going to add electric motors to indy cars for off the line boost, but they banned it or something

It already does. The first new car I plan to buy in a few years will be gas-electric.

Exactly, Hybrid is the best thing to hit the econo box since they hit the street

Oil changes every 10K miles, 50MPG to the gallon or even more.... what more can a typical person ask for in a "Cummuter car" "Gas Getter" "Fart Can"

i don't want to own an econobox, when they make one that has as much tourque as a dodge viper, sounds like a dodge viper and runs like a dodge viper i'll like it. i personally don't like econoboxes and hope to never own one.

i will never buy something that looks like this by my own free will

Edit: when i mean as much tourque i mean the punch back in your seat feeling you get with the pedal all the way down in a viper.

Did you even READ the article? It said that ALL of Toyota's vehicles would be gas-electric. Toyota doesn't just make econoboxs.

Once again the Japanese are doing R&D instead of lining officers pockets with golden parachutes and huge saleries. No Saint, your wrong, I think, in 2010 Toyota will be #1 auto maker and GM will be #3.

I ran through the article, no mention of Acura doing the same.

Lexus = Toyota
Acura = Honda
