Heh, most of the jap car companies have plants in america, would not be suprised if the foreign car companies had more plants in america than Ford / GM
 
Wouldn't the joint ventures between GM and Toyota make Toyota consider the decision?

And please, don't talk about American cars like your paper hamburger wrapper and imports like the best thing since PC gaming or sliced bread.

This actually cracks me up...I mean I do love Toyota cars (I've owned 4 and currently drive a Tacoma), but Toyota knows they will just make more profitby doing this...especially if they do it incremently. Also, this will probably only increase sales of Nissan...

I think it's to give them more capital so GM can license Toyota's battery cell technology, which GM wants but doesn't have the know-how to implement.
