Anyone got any opinions on it?

After reading your opinions here, and over at edmunds and elsewhere, we decided to go for it. We're picking up our 2005 V6 silver Highlander tomorrow :) And about the trade in? They gave us 2k over the blue book value. So even if it was a gimmick, who cares?! haha :D :D Test driving it was great. It felt like I was driving a car instead of a SUV or Truck. Definately enough power to get out of it's way and then some. Pics coming tomorrow!

Technically, you are driving a car. Highlander is built on the Camry platform IIRC.

Still, it's a nice SUV. Congrats.

they're not gonna give you 2k over blue book unless they inflated the price of the highlander by 2k or are charging you an arm and a leg in interest.

Fixed.

Glad to hear of Modeps' purchase. Please post specs and pics and give an update.

Did you get a good deal on it (using Edmunds' TMV number)?

did they discount the highlander at all then? $2k more for the trade in is nothing if they charge you full price for the highlander.
