Whats your basis for this? Every time Ive had to deal with towers, they are usually pretty nice guys with great stories, they are just doing their job. You guys keep saying they are scum and dirty, ever think that maybe someone who deals with dirty ****** all day might look kind of dirty during that day?

They had the right to tow. However, having said that, I've heard stories of the towing companies breaking things on the car when they hoist it up onto the tow truck. When confronted, they refuse to pay for the repair.

That happened to my friend, they banged up his fender real bad, luckly he had a police report before it was towed (wont go into that story) saying that there was no damage, so the tow company has to pay for it.

So because they dont dress and look like you that makes them horrible people? Ever think that maybe people who work in a salvage/tow yard might now wear suits to work? Or is it because they were just doing their job that ended up inconveniencing you?

No, they pretty much stole my car. As far as I am concerned, when someone takes my property without my permission they are thieves.

Then don't park your property on someone else's property without their permission.

I was a guest of a paying resident. This was just a blatant money grab.

Do YOU pay ANY money to the apartment complex for the upkeep and repair of their parking facilities that are designated for RESIDENTS? No, beause you don't pay them ANYTHING because you aren't a RESIDENT.

The apartment complex called THEM. They don't go around looking for cars to randomly tow. Your beef lies with the apartment complex. Get it right, douche.

Hey idiot, look at my previous posts. I spoke to the parking complex, they did not call them.

They do the job they are asked to do.

Just like you do.

The job I do isn't purely designed to take advantage of people and removing their only available transportation. It's a shady business and I wouldn't want any part of it.

Eaglekeeper, we are both accountants so I will let you slide on this one :)

You lose - I am a self employed S/W engineer.

The company is contracted by the apartment complex to ensure that there are parking spaces for the residents.

The residents should notify guests of any parking restrictions if they are not posted.

The towing company is enforcing the rules, just like the police stop/pick up DUI and speeders.

I would not equate parking in the wrong spot to speeding and DUI's. You lose and that is a foolish comparision.

That one totally flew over your head. He's not saying parking in the wrong place is the same as driving drunk, he's saying that you are blaming someone for ENFORCING the rules when you should blame yourself for not FOLLOWING them.

Nominate for self-pwnage of the year.

Then the only possibility here is that all the authorized cars are stickered or have some sort of permit displayed, which should have tipped you off in the first place that your car would be gone within a couple of hours. Even still, there has to be SOME communication with the complex before the towing company can remove the car. Again, your beef lies with the complex because at some point, they authorized the towing company to do their job.

I have known quite a few over the years. Comes with the car hobby. I have even had friends that drove wreckers at times and even they admitted most are scumbag bottom feeders. Ever see a couple of wreckers racing down the highway to get to a wreck first? Some are nice and maybe not even dirty but the nature of their job makes them a vulture in most cases. The BEST wrecker drivers I have ever dealt with are those dispatched by AAA.....they are usually in a different league especially if they work directily for AAA like the last one that brought my broken car home on a AAA owned flatbed wrecker.

Blame the apartment management, not the tow truck guys...

You know, they'll also tow your car if it breaks down :Q

FU Towing Companies!!!

Why do you always make yourself look like such a little bitchboy?

You really can't be as lame and dumb as you make yourself out to be...

or maybe you really are

As a generalization they are 'scumbags'-we the elite don't need to put up with their stinky presense.

I would file a complaint with your local state patrol department-that's how I took care of miy problem with the corrupt bastards that run a service out of Ellensburg. I had the 300dollar charge refunded as well.

What is his complaint going to be? They were hired by the complex and doing their job.

Because they're scumbags and he's not.

Rogo

I'm not sure about that. he did park in a place where he was not sopposed to. then whines like a baby when his car is towed.

Exactly. Why is it that nobody here but Rogo is unable to understand that by towing his illegally parked car it is obviously the towers, and not the OP, that lack moral fiber? They towed his car so they must be scumbags. It's so simple!
