I knew a guy who was a tow truck driver. When you make as much as they do and get to find dead babies behind carseats in a wreck, or watch a drunk driver get beheaded underneath your towtruck bed, then go ahead and call them scum all you want.

Yes, many of them are shady but a lot of them are just trying to make a living like the rest of us. They get to deal with some of the same blood and guts firefighters do without the glory.

Very good point.

Even without the blood and guts part, what can you expect from a not-so-glorious job.

I'm sure they just love it when they have to go out to the middle of nowhere or a crappy neighborhood at the wee hours of the night to pick up some drunk's car or fish a car out of a ditch because someone can't admit they shouldn't have been driving while tired.

Go stand in a machine shop with signs that say, "You MUST wear eye protection at all times!" then try to sue when something hits your unprotected eye.

xactly. Why is it that nobody here but Rogo is unable to understand that by towing his illegally parked car it is obviously the towers, and not the OP, that lack moral fiber? They towed his car so they must be scumbags. It's so simple!
