I've seen similar things in Japan(on TV), and thought they were very hip.

I stayed at a largish campground once, and was surprised to see many "permanent" residents. Something like this would be even better since it's more traditional feeling, but you can still bug out when you get tired of a certain area. It would be a cool way to see the country, and always be at home.

Those houses are actually pretty cool. Would be perfect for camping actually. Just buy a cottage property and get one of those instead, if you want to stay on the cheap side.

Wow those are expensive. You can buy a crappy (but bigger with property) fixerupper house for some of those prices.

Actually it would be a fun project to build one of these from scratch. Make the plans up in AutoCAD with proper measurements, then buy the wood/appliances, and build.

Where can I buy a 10K house?

Just to break in the market here you would need 450K-475K to get a fixer upper.

An unserviced empty lot lot a round here would be more than 300K if you can find one.
