All of those PSU's are overkill for your current setup. But if there is one thing to go overboard on it's your PSU. They usually go from one system to the next. The seasonic is one of the best PSUs out there-- the XFX I think is also made by seasonic as well. If it was me I would go with the NZXT HALE90-750-M. I love the design!!! (How can a PSU be sexy ?) Also this PSU has received great reviews -- Check out Tom's Hardware and Johnny guru. That PSU and the new Phantom case in white is a truly drool-worthy combo... the 62amp 12+ volt rail will be good for all single GPU's and quite a bit of SLI/Crossfire setups. Did I mentions its the only one with a 80+ Gold rating. All in all you picked 3 great PSU's to choose from.

This is pure and simple my own opinion, but for me, in the past, I've found it easier to just bite the bullet and buy a new power supply, even if the old power supply is still under warranty.

We're all really busy these days, and even though the "right" thing to do is submit a warranty claim, I value my time more than that...so, I just suck it up and buy a new PSU. And like one responder said, do not cheap out on your PSU!

And each of the three PSUs you listed have a 5 year warranty.

If it were me, I would get the NZXT PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...&SID=u00000687

If you don't RMA your Toughpower... I may be interested in buying it off you as a project. I like tinkering with circuits and fixing stuff :D

That has pretty weak 12V output for a 600W...Depending on what new GPU you are going to get....I would get something with some more 12V juice.

For the system you are building, 750 watts is ridiculous overkill. Had I known my stuff more 5 years ago, I would never have ordered the 700w psu that I did. Now, with a pair of 570's or the like I would recommend a 750 minimum, but you said nothing about sli/xfire.

I just ordered #2 tonight for my soon-to-be new system...my recommendation would be that you do the same. Seasonic makes superior psus, it would be more than enough power, it's modular, and the price is excellent.

The ModXStream is a fine power supply (and I'm a big supporter of OCZ - I bought a lot of 400W and 500W stealthXstreams for clients who don't have big power supply requirements). However, the ModXStream is a 3-year old design or so, so bear that in mind. It still has decent power efficiency, but at this point the Seasonic may be worth an extra $10-20.

I think you'll be happy with either. I'm chugging along with a 535W Enermax Modu82+ PSU just fine with an i7 750 @ 3.2 GHz, 4 7200rpm HDD's, an intel SSD, 4 fans and a GTX 460.

Going from a so-so brand like Thermaltake to a solid one like Seasonic or even OCZ is definitely the right thing to do.

OCZ certainly doesn't have a reputation any better than Thermaltake.

The Thermaltake Toughpower is better than 90% of the mediocre stuff OCZ sells.
