lol... i knew that was in the sierra just looking at the pic, before looking at the name. its yosemite national park. mt conness is north of young lakes, which is a few miles north of toulumne meadows.
i have yet to get up in those parts during this time (aug/sept) of year, hopefully will get a chance next year. i have a bunch of similar pix linked in my sig

I think an AT hiking trip would be a great idea. I know there's enough people here who do that kind of thing to make it interesting.
