Touchpad on wife's laptop suddenly stopped responding

I don't know what happened. We hooked my wife's Toshiba laptop up to the TV to watch some movies off of it. We did this yesterday and all was fine, today we did it again and when we unplugged it the touch pad/buttons no longer respond.

Anyone know what could have caused this? I tried restarting, doing a system restore, neither fixed it.

I have a touchpad on/off switch...I guess make sure you haven't accidentally turned it off if you have one. Not really sure of any other fixes. I'll get back to you if I find anything.

Sadly this is exactly what it was. It's not a switch, Toshiba has a windows only drop down menu that can be accessed with the "Fn" button plus one of the function keys, apparently she hit Fn + F9 which turns the touch pad off...yeah, I feel retarded. Took me forever to figure that out too.
