Touch screen not responding

Was working early this morning. About an hour ago, the screen became very flaky. As in I would touch but it would think I touched like an inch off of where I clicked. Now it's not responding at all to my touches. I've had a similar issue whenever water gets on the screen. But the phone is completely dry. Any ideas? Maybe the steam from the shower has messed something up

Had a similar issue with my Thunderbolt a few months back. Certain spots on the touchscreen would die, causing either no response from the phone or, at best, a very inaccurate response.

The bad news is that it happened for about a month and never stopped. My upgrade was up, so just ended up replacing it.

I had this happen on an HTC touch 4g (I think thats what is was called) and did a factory reset which fixed that problem.

Sounds like the digitizer went. If you really like the phone, you can easily repair it for around $50 with a screen assembly (digitizer + LCD) off of eBay.

You can get the digitizer alone for around $13 shipped from China, but I would suggest against it, as I've gotten bad ones before, and gluing the digitizer onto the LCD is ridiculously difficult (for me anyway) to get right.

Now it's not responding at all. The capacitive buttons at the bottom aren't doing anything either. Its stuck on the lock screen because I can't open it ha. Any chance of it getting replaced through warranty?

Depends on whether its still under warranty

And if your moisture indicator is tripped or not.

Bought new screen+digitizer and just installed it. however it did not fix the problem 🙁 .. is there something wrong on the motherboard or connector?
