TOTORO!

This is a group project for my Maya animation class - 3rd week of classes after we learned shading...the parts I made are the pumkins, the copper pot, the tree house, scene composition and totoro's fur color.

What do you guys think? We have some work to do but I'm just now starting to get comfortable with Maya...

the whole Totoro concept is disturbing though. a cat that turns into a school bus? okay, i don't know too much about Totoro, but from what i've seen so far. i love the creator's other work though, mainly Future Boy Conan series. that and Nasicaa (sp?).

How do you make the fuzz?

Maya has a 'fur' plug-in, it was hard to get it to work...but once it did the results are nice, and poofy.

Well that's a fairly random assemblage of objects.

You're right, it's both crowded and random...we picked random groups and everyone had different unrelated items, and we had to squeeze all of them in one scene... so it turned out kinda crazy...
