I am trying to set up a wireless network at home.
I brought home my laptop from work: an IBM Thinkpad T40, running XP, with an Intel(R) PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B Mini PCI Adapter
I just purchased a D-Link DI-524 router (802.11g). I installed the router per the instructions. All the proper led's are lit up. My desktop (connected by ethernet cable to my cable modem) connects to the internet without a problem.
The laptop however does not seem to be finding the signal - "wireless connection unavailable"
If I go to "View Available Wireless Networks" I see 4 listed: linksys, default, belkin54g. I expected to see D-Link somewhere, but I'm really not sure. Actually at this point I pretty clueless about what to do next. Can anyone help with the information I have provided?
