Too bad I only have a70, can it do justice to the lunar eclipse??

Same, have an A75...been meaning to buy some zoom lens attachments, but no $$$ to spend 🙁

ive gotten some snaps of it that are pretty good. ill post them alllater

its about 1/2 cover ed now and im going out for more

If you want to get any detail in the moon itself when taking a photo of it you'll need to use manual settings. Otherwise you'll get nice night sky clouds and a blown out white disc. Of course that's a nice photo too.

Anyway, I've found ISO 100, f/12, and a shutter 1/50 to work pretty well on my digital Rebel. You'll also need a lens with a fair amount of reach to get any detail.

hm.. whens it gonna change colors to red?? Its still white.. doh! is there an estimated time around when that'll happen?

ON my stock camera i currently have 333 mm of lens to play with. Will this be sufficient? I cant wait till next year already when I trade up to an SLR 😀 (Since im in school I could only go with what I have, mind you I can by an adapter for 555 mm of zoom) 😀

well went out to check it out... nice and clear here in Hamden, CT.... its not as red as it looks in the picture that someoneposrted above.. i guess its coz he zoomed in and hence the red is more visible.. however, i do see a red tinge..

Just took 52 pics, it was starting to turn a bit orange, will post a pic if they are any good....does it get a lot brighter with time?
