true. it's not like those soldiers have a choice.

And that's why none of the Nazis except Hitler where held accountable for war crimes.

The basic presumption is that everyone always has a choice.

EDIT TO ADD: I DO disagree with that site, and think the whole idea is asinine - just wanted to point out the 'choice' angle, though. They DO have a choice.

Disertion is punishable by death, even in the US army.

Very religious, isn't it? "You have the choice to do as you are told...or DIE!!!"

Still, that logic was applied to the Nazis held accountable for various aspects of the war. "I was just following orders" is NOT an acceptable defense. Soldiers are expected to reflect on their orders and to disobey if their orders are illegal or violate human rights - regardless of the personal consequences.

Don't worry about it. It's just another highly motivated, highly liberal metro. You know the kind, pseudo-intellectual, pseudo-artistic, pseudo-man. Very vocal as usual, and an emotional trainwreck.

Like most emotional trainwrecks, $500 says he owns a cat.

.

Did you really need to confirm Godwins law so early in the thread? The bringing up of Nazi's is a dead giveaway of someone who can't express themself otherwise.

I know it sounds funny, but without fail that type of person owns cats. There's something about that personality type being drawn to cats.

For the idiots out there, that doesn't mean that other people can't own cats also.
