If you're that dumb, you probably weren't expecting any important calls.
QFT. He's probably not an uber important business god like you!

If you don't have insurance on your cell phone, you're a fool. Good luck!

who the fvck has insurance on their cell phone?

Who doesn't? It's costs me about 3-4 dollars a month, and because of it, I don't have to worry about my cell.

My phone was $1 (Cingular promotion from over a year ago). It sucks. I almost wish it would die so I would have an excuse to buy a better one..

Hey you're not that dumb. A RaZr is a free phone.

I threw a K750i into the washer.

It might not work if it was on to begin wtih. When I fished my K750i out, the flash was on and the screen was dead. I promptly removed the battery.

Later: Backlight of LCD was dead, some buttons dont respond too well. However, it takes pictures, works as a flash light, plays music... took it on my snowboarding trip as my camera =].

hey, dont worry, just leave it OFF for a day or two, put it in front of the dehumidifier, and remove the battery.

let it do this for a few days, and it should work.

i dropped my phone into a muddy ass puddle the day i bought it, it sat there for about 10 minutes before i realised it, and went back and found it. did this, and its still working 1.5 years later

hell yeah OP, let it dry i dropped my phone in the toilet....TWICE...I had it in the pocket of a hoodie type thing...i leaned over to flush and cappooosh.....Works like if it was new, the bad thing was i had to dig my hand in there....good thing it was #1

At least now you won't have anyone to call and interrupt you when you're losing weight....per your other thread.

Way to look at the positives.

man.. i know how this feels, i washed my jeans, 10mins into the wash, i was looking for my Sidekick 2, it was too late..

I took it out, let it sit out for a couple of days... I started it, EVERYTHING was messed up, screen was tweaking out, keys would magically press themselves, ect.. I couldn't take the SK2 apart and the battery is internal, which is what cause the problem...

My Motorola V600 had fallen in some water (sink), I took out the battery, took it apart, put a hair drier on medium and dried all the parts off, let it sit for a couple of days, re-assembled and it still works!

To all the people saying "Get insurance!!", here is a fact... For my Sidekick 2, insurance was about $5.99 a month for it... No big deal right? The deductible was $110 in case of damage or theft, since it was a high valued phone. Well, I had that Sidekick 2 for about 6 months, so I would've been paying $35.94 in insurance, plus the $110 deductible, making a grand total of $145.94 for a replacement in total.. Well 4 hours of when my Sidekick 2 went through the washing machinel, I was walking around with a BRAND NEW Sidekick 2 that I purchased for $125... The insurance cost on high valued phones (such as the Razr) is most of the time more than what you get the phone for..

Also, here is another fun fact.. I use T-Mobile, and if I ordered Insurance, it means the phone I got from T-Mobile was covered and thats it. I got my plan with a craptastic Motorola V180, and I switch phones every couple of months, I upgraded to a Sidekick 1, Motorola V600, Sidekick 2 Now I am with a Razr, not counting the numerous phones I had in between... I could always call T-Mobile, and only my V180 was cover. What does that mean? If my Razr gets stolen, i get a brand new V180. In short, he might not have been eligible for insurance. If you switch phones, then only your original phone is covered.

But seriously, what is the big deal? If you can't get it to work, sell it on eBay for parts and buy a new Razr...

Same with me, although it was only in the puddle for a minute or two & the phone has since been retired from service because the battery was giving out.
