Do I detect some repressed childhood memories?

Instead of all that you should at least put SCSI in the title

ok I won't go into techy terms. IDE connects to the mobo, usually (unless you got ata cards or whatnot). SCSI uses less system resources and is faster, but you need to have a SCSI PCI card and you can keep stacking scsi hardware, I think.

Generally you can have 7 devices per plug on the scsi card. Also, scsi 2 I think is like 40 max bandwidth (possibly 20 I 'm not sure) compared to ultra scsi 160. Personally I use a scsi DVD pioneer slot drive and I've always been happy with it. I just picked up a cheap scsi card on ebay that's all. You can get scsi 2 compatible cards pretty cheap on ebay. If you have a later version of scsi, just make sure it has a 50 pin internal connector, and it should plug in and work with this drive.

What does SCSI mean? Its Small Computer System Interface :) That's from memory, although if you want to check out stuff you can always go to:

Picasso -- like most Generals and many Popes -- was completely over-rated. However, conceited egoists are charitable in their estimations of each other.
