What exactly do you mean by "wired adapter" can you provide some manufacturers and model numbers?
I meant exactly wired CAT5 USB adapters. I personally use the Linksys USB200M but I've had success with the Belkin f5d5050. Get whichever is cheaper as they both should work.

Might want to double check on that, for Comcast you should only have to pay for the DVR, all the DVRs are HD, you don't need to pay for both the $5 for HD and $10 for DVR, just the $10 for the DVR.

Unfortunately he is correct. On my bill it says $5 HD Box, then $10 for DVR service.

really? hope they are not ripping me off, I dont have a cable box right now as I only have expended analog cable right now for $40ish, so the 15$ is for the the tuner/dvr, and there is another $5.95 for digital classic. man, close to $100 just to watch TV and surf the web! :Q

Hm weird, I know here it is just $10 since your not renting the HD box, just the DVR which is already HD. I confirmed this last week with my comcast rep.

I have one and it works fine and will play back up DVD's you may have the region code on your recorder set wrong. Only thing I don't like is the remote. Poor design. Do the designers ever try these things? Button layout and size stupid.
