Toshiba Satellite M45-S355 Help

Well, I opened up my laptop because I wanted to do something to the speakers. Well, while doing so, I messed up two ribbons. One was for the power button and the other was for the touch mouse screen. But I replaced those with new ones. I also broke off 2 pins off the motherboard where the lcd screen plugs in. I was thinking if I can stick 2 small pins in the hole of the plug itself. Would that work?

Well, I turned on the laptop while having my desktop monitor hooked up to it. It was telling me to enter a date. But when I type in the date and press enter, the laptop turns off. I don't get it?

laptop model number:

Toshiba Satellite M45-S355
Toshiba Satellite M45 PSM40U-073001

thanks

Why are you posting this again?

Your not going to find those ribbon cables. Best you can do is buy the same model off ebay of wherever and pull the ribbon cables from it. Unless of course you can get the manufacture to sell them too you. doubt full.

I'm not asking the same question. I was just giving the full story. My post above says "But I replaced those with new ones." So, I replaced those ribbons already but I came across a new problem.

thanks for trying to help though
