Toshiba Portege 4000 RAM upgrade

Hi All!

Anybody use a Toshiba Portege 4000? I've been googlin' around to find a guide on memory upgrade procedure for this notebook.

D/L-ed some guides from Toshiba website but couldn't find any reference on how to access the RAM slot. Toshiba maybe think this is not user upgradeable?

Will appreciate if anybody can give me any advice or link.

It should be listed in the User's guide, but the memory slot is located underneath the keyboard. Pop off the plastic running above the keyboard and then the two screws and fold the keyboard down. Underneath the plastic are two memory slots. PC133 memory is required. 1GB is probably the max, but you should look that up on the specs.
