I spent $299 for this camera in circuit city 6 months. It works okay for me. Good video quality.
But you need to buy 4 rechargable batteries, 1 battery changer or 5V power supply, a camera bag and more smart media memory to make it really workable.

It comes with a lame 4MB smart media card. I suggest you to replace that with at least 32 or 64MB memory.

This camera is pretty nice indeed. Payed 400 for it at target right before christmas. The picture quality is very good and I actually think it is a 2.3 megapixel camera. Great Deal!!!

Opps! Just went to order and it says: REFURBISHED

Link to ecost product listing

I just checked idealwiz's best buy flyer for Sunday; it has a Toshiba 3.3MP for $500, after a rebate (big versions aren't up yet, can't read details), with free 16MB SmartMedia card. Hmm, newest, latest model, or save money on a refurb... Hmm....

hey i bought this from ecost 2 nites ago. i dont think that one was refurbished. i then ordered 64 smart media from newegg for real cheap price. however i know that batteries will be a problem. i am getting some NiMHs but i also want an adapter. the official on from toshiba costs $59. here.

the description is 120 VAC input, 5 VDC @ 1.5 amp output.
soo whoever has this. do they have an adapter? is there a generic adapter i can get at radioshack or bestbuy or something? i dont wanna spend $59 on some camera adapter. the camera isnt top of the line i am probably gonna get a good canon some time later so i wont want to spend that much on this now.

sonik: you might want to check with ecost. The one you ordered might be refurbished. They probably forgot to add that to the description when they first put it up on sale.

csiro,
i sent them an email asking about it. they said sorry it was refurbished... is there anything i can do about it? should i complain and try to get something better or will they just refund me? this really sux. is it worth it for $200 refurb though? maybe i should keep it. what do u think?

soupwizard, did u actually buy one? if anyone bought one before it was labeled refurbished email me. vvsonikvv@yahoo.com

there should be a lotta people who bought it b/c i think they had it on sale twice w/o refurb label and they both sold out. 60 units each time.
